Symetrix TI-101 Phone Patch For those who can't enjoy the congenial
atmosphere above La Madeleine French restaurant, the Symetrix phone patch
is a cool and easy alternative. All you need is a phone and you can
direct your talent in the comfort of your office just across town, or in a
totally different city or even from your car.

same site.) over the internet or for next day delivery by Fedex.
Essentially, here's how it works. You book the talent and studio and, at the prearranged time, call the studio (214) 559 4288. The voice talent who is in the studio can hear you through the headphones, so you can direct just as easily as if you were at the studio. You can hear the talent clearly through the phone. What is actually recorded is the clean sound going through the audio console, NOT what you hear coming through the phone. I can hear both of your conversations and can interact, just like a regular session and you can hear playback of everything we've recorded until you're completely satisfied. Even while we're recording you can interact and ask for another take or a different read just as you would during a regular session.
Anything you say while the recording takes place is not recorded. It's only the announcer who is recorded. We record the takes just like in a typical recording session and, when the session is over, I do any necessary editing and /or mixing. Then I can mail or fedex a cd, dat tape or whatever format you choose to the location you specify.
If you only require the selected takes and the total time is less than say about ten minutes, they can be converted to MP3 files and emailed to you. If your email program won't accept large files, another alternative, is that I can upload the files to my FTP site and you could then download them.
